CASE STUDY

Our
recent collaboration provided improved material
handling process for a full-service direct mail
and statement/bill processing company. Belt
driven/ minimum pressure roller conveyor allow
the product to be conveyed out of the insert
machine area. Photo-eye controlled “zone”
accumulation conveyor feed a pneumatic operated
-90 degree transfer at the end of the line.
Trays were conveyed on a variable speed
controlled belt conveyor to an automatic
strapping machine. After one strap was placed
around the sleeved tray, product moved onto
line-shaft conveyor. With line-shaft’s minimum
pressure capabilities, it allowed operators to
off stack trays onto appropriate pallet(s)
locations. An overhead trash conveyor was put
in above the tray take-away line running in
opposite direction feeding an existing internal
waste container.
